Beached

Water reacts to other forces of nature in ways that are fascinating, at times.  If it is very still, it is like a mirror.  If it reacts to gravity you might end up with a mighty waterfall.  The wind can stir up water and create movement; sometimes creating large waves.    As the wind blew across the lake depicted in this acrylic painting it created waves that moved some driftwood onto the beach.  Water is a wonderful subject to paint and I thoroughly enjoy it.  

The painting is 18" x 24" x 1.5" and done on gallery wrapped canvas.
